This is just a quick article about the specifics on "sniping" online auctions (That is: bidding late to try and catch other bidders unawares). Specifically I will cover the differences between "traditional" sniping on the worldwide eBay site and the Canberra-specific ALLBIDS.

Triple ginger cake

A friend had this cake at a restaurant recently. She liked it so much she begged the kitchen for the recipe (well... I don't know if she begged, but I would have). She made it for us and it really was that good, but it was a stupendous amount of very rich cake. Strangely there's only two forms of ginger, despite the name.

Simple Moroccan Chicken

This recipe originally came to me through ABC's Delicious magazine, June 2004. It's now available on the Taste website. I had blogged it before (Probably before Taste existed), but that seems to have been lost in the site moves of history (Yes, I've looked in the Wayback Machine).
Nevertheless, there's still a bunch of photos from my good friend Katie sitting on my Flickr site, so I thought I'd drag it all together again (As I'm making this again for my Dad this weekend).
It looks pretty unappetising, but trust me: It tastes delicious!

The Lego Movie (2014)

The ANUFilm group solicited reviews for the semester 1, 2014 programme. This is my review of The Lego Movie. Again, I had no chance to see this film before the deadline, so it's all mostly wishy-washy conjecture from the promo site, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. I went out on a limb to guess what kind of character Wildstyle was, though.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013)

ANUFilm was soliciting reviews for their Semester1, 2014 programme, so I applied. This is my review of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013). I didn't quite get to see this film before reviewing it (But I had some info from friends who had) and it's not exactly the most opaque story to tell from the trailers and promo clips.

Beetlejuice(1988)

The ANU film group solicited short reviews for the semester 2, 2013 programme. This is my review of Beetlejuice for them. I was really happy to do this review because not only had I actually seen the movie (Unlike the other two I had to review), but it was one of my all-time favourites I really wanted to review.
